BALDWIN, NEW YORK - Today, Nassau County Executive Laura Curran announced the endorsement of three more labor unions, adding to a list of more than a dozen unions who have thrown their support behind Curran’s 2021 run. Throughout her first term, County Executive Curran prioritized the needs of working families in Nassau, and now they are standing by her.

County Executive Laura Curran will work with Nassau’s local labor community to fuel a robust recovery, as the County invests in infrastructure, creates new jobs, and continues to make Nassau a better place to live, work and play.

After formally endorsing County Executive Curran’s re-election, each union released the following statements:

“Laura Curran has stuck to the promises she made to the people of Nassau County. She entered office to tackle problems that were constantly kicked down the road by former administrations. She addressed tough fights head on. Her upfront approach and transparency helped those in all facets of the workforce during unprecedented times. Laura Curran offered constant support to the members of Plumbers Local #200 and all working men and women here in Nassau County. We are proud to endorse her in her upcoming reelection.” - Danny Grodotzke, Business Manager, Plumbers Local Union 200

“County Executive Curran has been a steadfast supporter of family-sustaining wages and benefits on construction projects in Nassau County. Whether it is project labor agreements for critical sewer infrastructure projects or fighting for good union jobs on Nassau's largest public-private partnership at the Nassau Hub, Laura Curran has supported skilled, union construction workers and we look forward to ensuring she is re-elected for another four years.” - Josh Slaughter, Political Director, Laborers Local 66

“The North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters represents over 29,500 members who are dedicated to their craft and set the highest standards for skills in the construction industry. We believe in developing and maintaining intelligent labor laws that can serve honest workers and honest employers. For those reasons, we know Laura Curran is the right candidate for NASRCC members. We stand with her in her reelection campaign for Nassau County Executive.” - Anthony Villa, Business Manager NASRCC Local 290, Business Manager
