North Hempstead Democratic Committee and Chairman John Ryan Endorse Laura Curran for County Executive In Overwhelming Vote, Influential Town Committee Backs Curran's Bid

(GARDEN CITY, NY) – Yesterday, Democratic Candidate for County Executive Laura Curran received the endorsement of the North Hempstead Democratic Committee (NHDC) and its Chairman, John Ryan.

“The North Hempstead Democratic Committee is proud to support Laura Curran for Nassau County Executive,” said John Ryan, North Hempstead Democratic Chairman. “With rampant corruption, blatant mismanagement, and never-ending scandals plaguing the County Government, taxpayers deserve a responsible leader that has one goal. That goal is to listen to the residents of Nassau County and serve them as an honest, hard-working public servant that puts their needs above all others. Laura Curran is a strong leader with the good morals and the independence needed to serve the people of Nassau the right way. We’re excited to endorse her candidacy and cannot wait to join her on the campaign trail throughout the Town of North Hempstead.”

After receiving the endorsement, Laura Curran said: “I am incredibly grateful to the North Hempstead Democratic Committee and Town Leader John Ryan for their robust show of support. I’m excited to work together to clean up the mess in Mineola, and to make county government work for taxpayers again. The culture of corruption and self-dealing must come to an end in Nassau County. Our residents deserve nothing less.”

The NHDC’s endorsement comes just days after Curran received her fourth labor endorsement from the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees Local Number 1. She remains the only candidate for County Executive race with organized labor support. In addition, the Curran Campaign just announced it has raised over half a million dollars, showing they clearly have the broad support and resources to win in November. Curran has also been endorsed by State Senators Todd Kaminsky and John Brooks as well as the Nassau County Democratic Committee's Executive Committee and Chairman Jay Jacobs.
