International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees Local Number 1 Endorses Laura Curran for County Executive

(GARDEN CITY, NY) - Today, the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees Local Number 1 endorsed Democratic Candidate Laura Curran to be Nassau's next County Executive. The IATSE Local 1 represents 4300 members who become the fourth labor group to endorse Curran for County Executive. Laura Curran remains the only candidate for County Executive who has been endorsed by any organized labor union.

"We are very proud to endorse Laura Curran to be our next County Executive because we know she will stand up for working men and women just as she always has," said Robert McDonough, Treasurer and PAC Co-Chair of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees Local Number 1. "As a County Legislator, Laura has been a champion for organized labor, taking tough votes to ensure working families are protected. Laura's strong commitment to working people is exactly why we are so steadfast in our support of her campaign to clean up the mess in Mineola and make sure government once again works for us."

After receiving the endorsement, Laura Curran said: “I am honored to earn the endorsement of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees Local 1, who represent and stand up for hard-working men and women across Nassau County. I am so pleased Robert McDonough and his team will join my campaign in the fight to clean up the mess in Mineola. Right now, the corruption that plagues Nassau County government is hurting hard-working taxpayers and we desperately need a fresh start. I am proud to stand with working families across our communities and say that as County Executive I will never back down from supporting and protecting the middle-class families of Nassau County who drive our economy forward."
